15th October 2010 Sydney

Veolia Water Network Services, a subsidiary of the world's leading construction specialist in water distribution networks and wastewater collection systems, SADE, has been successful in its bid for a 5 year contract to provide Waste Management services to Australia's largest water utility, Sydney Water.

Beginning in the third quarter of 2010, Veolia Water Network Services will be providing services for the waste management of sewer and stormwater silt and stormwater debris. This will cover stormwater channels, sewage-pumping stations and associated conduits feeding into the major sewer carriers transporting effluent to sewage treatment plants.

Silt and Debris is defined as any solid matter accumulated in a conduit pipe (structure used to transport sewage or stormwater) or silt & debris collection facility (for example: pollution control devices, wet wells, grit pits and stormwater basins).

This association for Veolia Water Network Services comes in the wake of their ongoingmulti-year successful alliance with Sydney Water to repair, replace and upgrade water mains throughout the Greater Sydney Region.

Thibaut de Crisnay, MD, Veolia Water Network Services said "We are proud of our long association with Sydney Water Corporation, and I welcome this new chapter in our partnership. Sydney Water's choice of VWNS for the provision of waste management services means they will have access to world's leading expertise and technology through our associations with global leader SADE and other Veolia group companies".

"Our expertise and focus on methodology and environmental management when it comes to waste management services went a long way in securing this bid, and I wish to congratulate the local team, " Mr. de Crisnay added.
